Due to cultural exchange with Japan, Sakhalin has become an important center for the development of Ikebana art, specifically the Sogetsu School. The Ikebana courses, launched in 2002 at the Japanese Consulate, marked the beginning of its popularization on the island. The Soko Art Studio is actively promoting this art by organizing exhibitions, participating in international projects, and collaborating with Japanese masters. Ikebana in Sakhalin continues to attract interest, strengthening cultural ties between Russia and Japan, and finding applications in various aspects of islanders' lives.
